TIFF has officially begun, and the city is getting busy! With the festival bringing plenty of energy to the streets, kitchens are getting busier too as restaurants gear up for the season ahead. There’s also lots happening in the market, so keep scrolling for this week’s latest update.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS WEEK
Critical Updates:
🚨Last Week For Local Peaches & Nectarines: We got an extra week but this is officially the final week for local supply.
🚨Baby Golden & Red Beets | Supply is tight this week due to sizing, but is expected to return to normal by next Monday.
🚨Mushrooms: Ontario supply is still tight due to growing challenges. Availability may be reduced and substitutions are possible over the next couple of weeks.

📈 What’s Up: Higher prices this week on cauliflower, purple yams, limes, sugar snap peas, berries, spinach, Brussels sprouts, cantaloupe & more (details below).
📉 What’s Down: Pricing is easing this week on red long chilis.

CAULIFLOWER (2301) - Quality remains good, but limited supply and premium pricing have pushed costs higher.
DAIKON (2410) - Limited availability on local and Chinese daikon.
PURPLE YAM (2970) -
Limited supply and the transition to Honduras are pushing costs higher.
LIME (2718 & 2720) -
New crop transition and limited larger sizes are driving prices higher for another week.
SUGAR SNAP PEA (2973) -
Shipping delays and weather-related quality issues are driving prices higher.
RADISH VALENTINE (3218) - Warm weather has created a supply gap, expected to improve within 10–14 days.
BUNCHED SPINACH (3260) - Price increase due to limited availability of local spinach, switching to U.S.-grown produce.
MINI PERSIAN CUCUMBER (2399) - Greenhouse crop rotations are tightening supply and pushing prices higher.
JUMBO CANTALOUPE (2250) - California heat is tightening supply, with prices expected to rise.
BRUSSELS SPROUTS, ICEBERG, LEAF LETTUCE, CILANTRO & ROMAINE (2225, 2647, 2655, 2661, 2683, 2355, 2696) - California heat and upcoming crop transitions are tightening supply, with prices expected to rise.

LONG RED CHILI PEPPER (4008) - Favourable weather conditions and improved supply of specialty peppers from the Netherlands.

The biggest supply or quality challenges and updates to be aware of this week, how long we expect them to last, and what we’re doing to keep orders covered.
Mushrooms (3882, 2761, 2781, 2782) | Ontario mushroom supply is expected to tighten over the next few weeks due to growing and weather challenges. Reduced availability and substitutions are possible.
Baby Golden & Red Beets (2167, 2175) | Supply is tight this week due to sizing, but is expected to return to normal by next Monday.
Fall Decor | Our seasonal lineup of fall décor will be available to pre-order starting this week with delivery next week (stay tuned!)
Local Apples | Local apples begin this week with fresh-picked Galas, with more red varieties to follow.

Peaches & Nectarines | Local supply is ending this week, with limited supply remaining. We will be transitioning to U.S. product.
Sunburst Squash, Patty Pan Squash & Baby Zucchini | 3328, 5157, 3543 -Local season is ending, with approximately one week left with limited supply. Product from Guatemala will begin transitioning into the market as of Sunday, the 20th.
