📉 What’s Down: Pricing is easing this week on kohlrabi.

📈Price Increases📈
Prices on these items are trending up this week:
VALENTINE RADISH (3218) - Lower seasonal supply from Mexico is driving prices up as growers wait for the new crop. Pricing is expected to remain elevated for another 10–14 days.
DILL WEED, CILANTRO & YELLOW ZUCCHINI (2418, 2352 & 3551) - Rain has impacted yields in Ontario and Quebec, tightening supply and pushing prices up this week.
BELGIAN RED ENDIVE (4566) - Rising temperatures in Spain are impacting crops and limiting the availability of good-quality product.
STRAWBERRIES (3346) - Strong demand across the market is pushing prices up this week. Supply is secured, and we’re sourcing from Quebec and alternative California growing regions where possible to help manage costs.

Prices on these items are trending down this week:
KOHLRABI BUNCH (2611) - Improved local kohlrabi supply is bringing prices down.

The biggest supply or quality challenges and updates to be aware of this week, how long we expect them to last, and what we’re doing to keep orders covered.
Yams - Markets remain tight, but inventory is in good shape with new crop a few weeks away. Jumbo yam pricing will remain elevated through mid-September due to tight availability and strong demand, while medium yams should remain stable in price and availability through the end of September as new crop becomes fully cured.
Yellow Potatoes | Quality has improved on white and yellow potatoes.
Burbank Potatoes | Burbanks remain old crop, with new crop expected to start in the first week of September.
Frozen Spinach | 5236 - Market availability remains tight, however, a restock is expected to arrive this week.
Frozen Sour Cherries | 7042 - Supply has improved, allowing us to bring this item back into stock this week after a period of limited market availability.
Roma Tomatoes | 3431 - New crop Ontario Roma tomatoes are now available. As with field-grown tomatoes, expect some natural skin blemishes and variation in firmness.
Ontario Yellow Cooking Onions | 2847 - New crop Ontario and Quebec yellow cooking onions are now available. Expect lighter colour and some skin peeling early in the season, with appearance improving over the next 4–6 weeks.
Ontario Kabocha Squash | 3316

Coronation Grapes | 3745 - Shorter than usual season due to the July heat. Starting with good supply and should be available for the next 2–3 weeks.

Local Apples | We'll be transitioning into our full local apple program over the next 2-3 weeks.
🚫 Finishing Up
Ontario Cantaloupes | This will be the final week for Ontario cantaloupes, as weather has impacted the remaining harvest and growers will not be returning to the fields.
Ontario Blackberries | Quality has not been holding well at harvest, so this will be our final week for local blackberries.
Ontario Raspberries | Harvest is expected to continue for another two weeks, weather and quality permitting.
Carosello Barese Cucumber | 2387 - Last week for Barese cucumbers. Weather is causinginconsistent supply and variable quality.
