Welcome to the weekly Market Report, your go-to for all the highs and lows of the week.
With Christmas next week, things are going to look a little different than usual. Between holiday schedules and busier kitchens, it’s one of those weeks where a bit of extra planning goes a long way. We’ve highlighted a few things below that are worth a quick look to help keep everything running smoothly over the holidays.
Let’s get you ready to sleigh!
THE TL;DR VERSION
🚨Upcoming Holiday Closure:Reminder that we'll be closed Thursday, December 25th, Friday, December 26th, and Thursday, January 1st. All other days are business as usual.
Market At A Glance:
🔺Tight & elevated: Leafy greens, Brussels sprouts, celery, broccoli/broccolini, snow and snap peas, green onions, herbs, mushrooms, and grapes remain elevated due to lingering weather impacts and strong holiday demand.
🔻Easing: Strawberry markets continue to improve week over week, green and red leaf lettuces are stabilizing, and pineapple availability has loosened slightly.
➡️ Transitioning: The transition to Yuma is complete. Strawberries are settling into MX/Baja/Florida, grapes are shifting to Peru (with green grapes still tight), coloured bell peppers are moving into Nogales, and Brussels sprouts will begin transitioning to Mexico soon.
✅ Peaking: Citrus is still in really great shape this week, avocados remain steady, cantaloupes are tasting great, and cucumbers, eggplant, and rainbow carrots are all solid.
📈 What’s Up?: Prices are up this week across celery, baby bok choy & bok choy, bell peppers & jalapeños, napa cabbage, green beans, and cluster tomatoes, driven by weather-impacted yields, seasonal transitions, tight supply, and strong holiday demand.
📉 What's Down?: Prices are easing this week on strawberries, cauliflower, romaine, green and red leaf lettuces, iceberg lettuce, and pea leaf, driven by stabilizing markets, improved volumes, and seasonal transitions.
🍈 New Arrivals: We’re continuing to expand our melon lineup, with canary melons joining the mix this week.
🚚 Holiday Ordering Do's & Don'ts: A few helpful tips to keep things running smoothly with your Bondi deliveries over the next few weeks during our closures.
🟥 Red Flags: Haven Greens is expecting reduced availability for their foodservice spring mix throughout December. Full details and a few shorts from last week of note below.

To keep things running smoothly with your Bondi deliveries over the next few weeks during our closures, here are a few simple ordering tips to keep in mind:
✔️ DO note that we’ll be closed Dec 25, Dec 26, and Jan 1. All other days are business as usual!
🚫DON'Twait to the last minute to order. All routes will be open on Dec 24 & Dec 31, which means volume will be heavier and routes will be tighter, which may impact delivery timing on these days.
✔️ DO make sure your orders are in by 10:00 PM on Dec 23 & Dec 30 — Dec 24 and Dec 31 are the final delivery days before our closures on Dec 25 & 26 and Jan 1.
🚫 DON’T rely on secondary deliveries — we will not be able to accommodate same-day deliveries on the 24th or 31st if you miss the 10PM order deadline on the 23rd or 30th.
✔️ DO plan 1–2 days earlier (Dec 22 or 23) if you have a time-sensitive event or service.
🚫 DON’T leave specialty or event-critical items to the last minute if you can avoid it. The more notice we have, the better we can plan to make sure you have what you need.
Supply Watch!
